A graduate of Harvard University, Bowling Green State University, and Distinguished Artist Professor John Sampen, Corey Whitt toured the country with the Four Corners Quartet as a Music Teacher's National Association winner promoting the expansion of saxophone repertoire with world premier performances of commissions by composers such as Mihai Popean and Mark Whitmer.
As a volunteer, Corey worked extensively with at-risk students of Toledo, Ohio in BGSU's Music Plus Program, as well as with students considered to be emotionally disturbed at the Wood County Children's Resource Center. As president of the Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association and National Band Association, Corey focused on developing creative opportunities to enrich the education of underprivileged students.
Corey Whitt previously served as the Assistant Director of Bands at Perrysburg High School in Perrysburg, Ohio, and the Director of Bands at Marshall Fundamental Secondary School in Pasadena, California. He is currently the Director of Instrumental Music at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California.
